The Manager of Training & Development is a highly visible role in the company. Works with management to develop, adapt, and conduct in-house training programs which provide a foundation for new hires and enhance existing employee development including corporate compliance. The position will manage projects, perform consultation, develop course content, and build, implement and facilitate training programs for all the regions. Managing training initiatives from development to delivery, our training program focuses on lasting competency development for employees at all levels of the organization through creating pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs and opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit and organizational performance.


  • Actively support the company’s culture and business mission by always putting the Company’s team members and its patients first.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences and workshops.
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Conduct or arrange for ongoing human resources, technical training, safety & compliance training, and personal development classes for staff members.
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected processes, changes and other factors.
  • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials as well as operations procedures and safety programs as time allows.
  • Maintain existing training procedures and tracking methods while new processes are developed and implemented.
  • Perform needs assessment by meeting with key decision makers in each line of business.
  • Design testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training or during an evaluation period to measure the effectiveness of the training program
  • Develop courses including: learning objectives, content, course materials, presentations, delivery methods, evaluations and certifications
  • Explore new training delivery methods including but not limited to e-Learning
  • Facilitates training sessions by deliver effective hands-on exercises and practices designed to reinforce both the skill and the confidence of employees
  • Analyze metrics and report on the effectiveness of the training program; assist in the assessment and coordination of all corporate training programs and evaluate the return on the investment.
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Expected to be to work all scheduled work days, during scheduled hours and report to work on time.
  • Other special projects or responsibilities as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or 3 to 4 years of related experience in Training and Development, Organizational Learning, Human Resources, and/or Paint Business
  • Three (3) to five (5) years as a corporate trainer
  • Knowledge of online training system and associated computer skills would be beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Outlook and the Internet
  • Present compelling training programs that use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles is required along with knowledge of adult learning
  • Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with a keen understanding of corporate etiquette and how to ask the right questions to get to the root of the cause
  • High Energy, flexible, innovative and the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
