    Position is responsible for performing general office functions that may include some or all of the following: scheduling appointments; charge/post payments; counsel patients and families on insurance and payment issues. Ensure all insurance demographic and eligibility information is obtained from patients and entered into the dental software in an accurate and timely manner. Collect payment for same day charges and outstanding balances.

    Responsibilities


    • Answer phone and provide information to callers; verifies and confirms patient appointments.

    • Schedule and confirm patients’ dental appointments.

    • Keep electronic records of patient interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.

    • Receives a high volume of inbound calls from patients.

    • Takes ownership of any unresolved customer questions/concerns and work towards solutions with practice teams in a timely manner.

    • Schedules patients at offices or work with patients to collect on any outstanding accounts.

    • Makes any necessary outbound phone calls to update to obtain needed or missing information.

    Qualifications


    • High school diploma or GED

    • 5+ years’ experience providing superior customer service.

    • Experience with M/S office products including Word, Excel, Outlook.
